Front projectors Just like when you go to your local movie theatre to see the latest
blockbuster film on a huge movie screen, front projection television in your home works best when you install
a home theater projector in a large, DARK dedicated room with minimal interference from external light sources. If you don't have a dark enough room in which to set up your
front projector system, the picture may appear washed out with poor color, contrast and detail!
DLP, LCD, and LCOS front projectors have become extremely popular choices for dedicated home theaters today, not
only because they can project a beautiful high definition picture of up to 10 or 20
feet or so in diagonal screen size, but also because these newer
digital projectors are significantly cheaper, easier to set up, and require less maintenance compared to
conventional CRT front projection systems of the past. You will need to replace your projector lamp (and air filter) after several thousand hours of projector usage.
For the best results if you plan on
viewing HD sporting events, HD TV programs, or movies on Blu-ray Discs and (HD) DVDs, we recommend that you consider going with a 1080p front projector.
There are now quality 1080p projectors
available for less than $5000, and can buy lower resolution 720p and 480p digital projectors for a lot less than that!
In addition to a home theater
video projector, you will also need a front projection screen and an HDTV receiver (video projectors lack built-in TV tuners). Most movie lovers
also add a Blu-ray Disc player, (HD) DVD player, or just a standard progressive scan DVD player. For audio, you will also need a home theater receiver and a surround sound speaker system. Be sure to connect all of your
home theater components with the proper digital A/V cables and speaker wire! Also, don't forget to add plenty of comfortable home theater seating to the room so everyone can just kick back and truly relax. It's just too bad you can't charge for admission! |
